The Dojo Product Design team is part of the Product & Engineering group responsible for building a learning platform that our customers will obsess with and love to use. We are looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Product & Engineering group and help us craft unique experiences on our Dojo Platform and Virtual Coding Lab. We want to find someone passionate about improving our product through exploratory methods and observing customer behaviors before executing them with high-quality design solutions. We want to bring on a seasoned Senior Product Designer to contribute to our design system, visual concepts/prototypes, and UX testing/research methods. Ideally, this is someone who enjoys working in cross-functional squads and has a strong preference for solving complex problems together. They will have an opportunity to create best-in-class user experiences to help the Product & Engineering group achieve our mission. This position will report to the Head of Product in Dojo. You will have the opportunity to influence product strategy and design for our product lines. You may find more info on what Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) means to us on https://www.woven-planet.global/en/woven-planet-holdings/diversity-and-inclusion Responsibilities * Work with key partners across the business (e.g. Content, Engineering, Localization, Product) to develop high-quality solutions through conceptualization, exploration, and user validation * Formulate hypotheses together with Product Managers and turn them into high-quality design proposals and solutions * Partner with Product Managers to design purposeful personas and competitive landscapes to generate solutions * Champion robust product design processes and best practices * Drive co-creation sessions with team members and stakeholders * Support the implementation or contribute to our Design System * Monitor our north-star metrics and propose A/B tests to optimize our acquisition, activation, or retention metrics * Measure the success of your decisions and iterate when required Minimum Qualifications * Experience with working cross-culturally * Experience in delivering real-world products that you are proud of * A strong product design portfolio that exemplifies who you are as a designer, including your values in design * Minimum 8 years of work experience in creating exceptional products for both web and mobile * Able to communicate design strategies through compelling story-telling * Have a strong desire to work autonomously and collaboratively * Comfortable with speaking and presenting in English at a professional level Preferred Qualifications * Not afraid to challenge the status quo * Passionate about education and the value it brings to humanity in general * Possesses a growth mindset * Has experience with using Figma for your E2E design processes * A background in design, HCI, information design, game design, psychology, or other related areas and equivalent experiences * Loves to mentor an upcoming generation of product managers and designers If you are currently located outside of Japan, don't worry, we'll set an interview over Google Hangout Meet or Skype.
