To help us continue to grow our offerings, we are in search of an experienced Product Manager to lead our Hybrid (wind, solar, and storage) Renewable Energy Digital Products (HOMER). The Product Manager will be responsible for driving the product and business-planning process of our HOMER software. In this role * You will drive the strategic planning and road mapping for the Hybrid Digital Products (HOMER) working across cross-functional teams. This includes driving the execution of all lifecycle processes for the products including product research, market research, competitive analysis, planning, positioning, roadmap development, requirements development and product launch. * You will work closely with our Software Development team and implement quarterly planning to ensure that milestones and timelines are met following agile methodologies. * You will collaborate closely with engineering, production, marketing, and sales teams on the development, QA, and release of products and balance resources to ensure success for the entire organization. * You will analyze consumer needs, current market trends, assess current competitor offerings and appraise new product ideas. * You will actively participate and conduct product discovery, user experience, prototyping, and user testing sessions for the products. * You will help develop product position and messaging that differentiates HOMER across its primary market segments. * You will develop and implement appropriate go-to market plans, and drive product launches. What Makes You a Great Fit * University Degree (Equivalent to Bachelor's degree) in relevant field with proven experience overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle * Ability to develop product strategy and translate it into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development. * Exceptional communication skills combined with strong presentation, writing, editing and public speaking skills. * Knowledge of the microgrid, distributed energy systems market landscape, and battery and hybrid (solar, wind) energy modeling is a plus. * You are a motivational leader, highly empathetic and effective at cross-functional team management What You’ll Experience Working At UL * Mission For UL, corporate and social responsibility isn’t new.
